Battery Charging Information

1. How long do I need to charge the battery?

The sprayer is equipped with a sealed Lead-Acid maintenance free fully enclosed rechargeable battery. It is similar to automotive type batteries. It has no memory problems like most Nickel-Cadmium batteries.

It is recommended to charge an empty battery for 12 hours. If the battery is not empty the charging time could be shortened.

Flow Pro AC charger is a specially designed--- it will automatically stop charging when the battery is fully charged, the charger will regulate the charging current to almost 0 amps. Therefore it will not damage the battery should you forget to unplug the charger. VERY IMPORTANT: use of a non-Flow Pro AC charger may damage the battery permanently or cause serious injury.

During the winter time or when the sprayer is not in use, we recommend that the user charge the battery every 3 months to maintain the life of the battery.

2. How to know that the battery is being charged?

The charger is designed specifically to match the sprayer's battery, the charger will feel warm while charging or you can use a multi-meter to measure the battery voltage gradually increase while charging.

3. How to determine if the battery is fully charged?

Normally it will take 12 hours to recharge an empty battery to full. It will not over charge should you forget to unplug the charger from the battery for 7 days or longer. After you terminate the charging, wait for 10 minutes, then use a multi-meter to measure the battery voltage, the 12 voltage reading should be above 12.5 volts.

4. How to charge the 12 volt battery?

Please see attached picture for recharging the battery. You need to unplug the connectors between the battery and switch wires then replug the charger connector to the battery connector. Doing this will prevent overloading the charger amperage and consequently will protect the charger.
