Important Pump Diagnosis & Assembly Procedures
- Make sure shaft 1 orientation with respect to shaft 8 is as shown in the diagram. If they are reversed, pump inlet & outlet will be reversed as well.
- Chemicals may build up on the shaft 8 surface. The build-up may wear out Teflon seal. Use fine sand paper and gently sand shaft 8 to remove build up. Replace Teflon seal if necessary.
- Clean shaft 1, nut 2 and shaft 8 hole surfaces. Then apply thread locking compound during assembly.
- Place O-ring 10 on cylinder 11 for better installation of cap 4. Hairline debris or dirt lying on the O-ring 10 will cause leaks. Clean and remove dirt from O-ring 10 before assembly.
- Clean piston 9’s outside surface as chemical build up may cause jamming of the piston with the cylinder. Use very fine sand paper to gently sand off the chemical build up if necessary.
- Do not over tighten screw 12 as over tightening will deform the cylinder and hinder piston 9’s motion.
